Move the Needle

Hello and welcome back!

In this week’s round of Ego’s Blog Challenge, we’ve been asked to plan a schedule. We need to plot out a week with as much or as little detail as we’d like, selecting a specific time to write with the number of words we want to reach.

Technically, I was supposed to schedule the challenge for this week, but life got in the way and said, “Just kidding, you won’t be writing.”

Time for Plan B.
I’ll be making this schedule starting with Saturday {instead of Monday} and going until next Friday. (:

*G = Goal,
*R= Reward,
*A = Additional Notes/Project Goal,
*T= Time {Start/End Time May Vary Within Time Slot}

~ Saturday

I am attending a write-in. I’d like to aim higher than I usually would.

G: Write a minimum of 3,000 words.

R: See a movie at the theater on Sunday.

A: Write 1,000 words for Teddy.

T: 2:00-11:00 PM

~ Sunday:

My schedule is already fairly busy. I’ll air on the side of caution with a lower minimum.

G: Write a minimum of 300 words.

R: Play zombies on Call of Duty and eat pizza.

A: Write 100 words for Teddy.

T: 8:00-10:00 AM

~ Monday:

I host prompt nights on Mondays, so I’d like to aim higher.

G: Write a minimum of 3,000 words.

R: Watch Supernatural.

A: Write 1,000 words for Teddy.

T: 12:00-10:00 PM

~ Tuesday:

It’s “Monday” for me. I tend to run on less sleep, so I’ll aim lower here as well.

G: Write a minimum of 300 words.

R: Buy a new Panda T-Shirt.

A: Write 100 words for Teddy.

T: 3:00-7:00 PM

~ Wednesday:

Ah, Wednesdays. They’re such a toss up for me. I’m going to set a medium-ish goal.

G: Write a minimum of 1,500 words.

R: Play pool on my break.

A: Write 500 words for Teddy.

T: 8:00-11:00 AM

~ Thursday:

Thursdays are the middle of my week and generally require me to head into work an hour earlier. I’ll set a lower goal here since my sleep schedule is typically a little strange.

G: Write a minimum of 300 words.

R: Buy a new movie on Vudu.

A: Write 100 words for Teddy.

T: 8:00-11:00 AM

~ Friday:

By Friday, I’m usually thinking about my weekend plans, but I’ll try to stay focused with a medium-ish goal.

G: Write a minimum of 1,500 words.

R: Get a Vanilla Bean Frappuccino with Extra Caramel. (:

A: Write 500 words for Teddy.

T: 7:00-11:00 AM

There you have it!
My schedule for the next week.

I’m excited to see how this all turns out. Who knows! I might even dedicate a bullet journal to this sort of thing. (:

Make sure to check out the other participants and their schedules here.

Until Next Time,
Shay

A Note from the Author

Every entry holds a clue,
Acting as a guide for you.
They live within a post-it,
Conveniently, where you sit.

Follow the journey, on the written path,
We promise it’s easy, there is no math.
The topics vary and cover a hill,
But please remember to do as you will.

Can’t wait any longer? The story is here,
But it comes in pieces throughout the year.
I hope you enjoy this as we begin,
I’ve let my hair down and sent you in.

My final note, within a white daisy,
Welcome to My World of Crazy.

Shay (;

P.s. Search for the next Red Post-It to continue in the Haven of Chaos (World).
